The lion's mane is a symbol of strength, honor and greatness. So, when a lion loses its mane it seems weak and powerless. Just think of how they depicted Scar in 2019's The Lion King.
It's not so different when a cancer patient loses their hair. That's why Orlando City SC will join Orlando Health’s Cancer Institute to support and empower fans with cancer by showing that a lion's strength comes not from its mane but from its pride, its community and its City.
And it will do so by making a simple but powerful modification to its

The idea is that Maneless Lion crest replaces the original crest everywhere during
Cancer Research Month to give the campaign's message the impact it deserves.
